MASH-compliant Truck Mounted Attenuator, approved by LTA Singapore on 29 December 2020.

The Trinity SS180M is crash-tested to MASH standards to absorb direct and offset impacts from mid-size vehicles travelling at up to 100 km/h.
It is a fully self-contained, easy-to-operate and easy-to-maintain system, designed to minimise crash-impact debris. The controlled crash impact protects adjacent road users and helps minimise secondary road incidents.
Verified protection at impact speeds up to 100 km/h under Test Level 3 conditions.
Small mounting brackets ensure no obstruction when the TMA is dismounted — the tipper stays usable for other purposes.
A compact storage profile keeps the shadow vehicle manoeuvrable and easy to park.
A potentially reusable steel support frame helps reduce repair cost after an impact event.
Impact absorption cartridges are replaceable, simplifying recovery and return to service.
Designed to minimise damage from low-speed impacts of up to 10 km/h.
Vibration, corrosion and water-resistance tested for Singapore's operating conditions.
Lower aerodynamic drag on the move reduces wind resistance — and diesel consumption.
The full tipper bin can still be utilised, so the host vehicle keeps earning its keep.

The SS180M transitions from a compact travel profile to a deployed crash cushion, giving crews a clear, repeatable workflow for setting up and packing down at the work zone.
MASH stands for the Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware — a set of testing procedures, guidelines and conditions produced by the American transport organisation AASHTO.
Until recently, a different American test method known as NCHRP 350 was used. Local safety policy has since been updated, and MASH is now the preferred test method.
An estimated 1.25 million people die each year because of road crashes, and millions more are injured. The World Health Organization has synthesised evidence-based measures that can significantly reduce road-traffic fatalities and injuries.
The result is Save LIVES — a package of strategies to reduce injuries and deaths from road-traffic crashes, spanning speed management, leadership and infrastructure. Crash-safety hardware like the SS180M is part of that infrastructure response.
